foto fun friday... if you like pina~colada

I am posting two verisons of this shot.

I like both but for different reasons.

First one is natural and left alone.

I like the vibrance of the colors.

I then added a 'frost' texture layer in

order to convey a 'ice cold, frosty' beverage feeling.

The feeling might be too cold for some people but

this would be appealing after a hot day in the sun.

To me anyway.

Now who wants a Pina~Colada?

Does Using Ad Sense Make Sense?

I have a question for you bloggers out there.

Do you use Ad Sense on your blog?
Does it work?
Is it worth it?

Ok. I lied. I had 3 questions not one. I'm actually trying to figure out a way to earn some money for my photos. Not sure how to go about it. I was thinking about making blank greeting cards but with my photo (of your choice) on the front. I'd then sell them in packs of 10 or 20. I don't know of an online card printing place that would print up the cards so recommendations would be great. Maybe I should invest in a good printer. I don't want to make the cards and then not have them sell. Any of you interested? I'd also have to figure out the price. How much would you spend on cards that you buy online?

Any ideas?

Guess who got new frames?

Found this pic in an old album and wanted a digital copy of it. My mom (looking all Ann Margaret like here) was pregnant with my middle sister Ali. I was not even a twinkle in my parent's eye when this was shot. My father reminds me of James Garner of the Rockford Files. Groovy baby!

Hubby wanted to place some flowers on his parent's gravesite in honor of Father's day. He wanted me to take pictures of the flowers that he left to show his family. Is he the sweetest son or what?

I'd rather be taking pictures...

I wanted to improve on my previous 'sunscreen at the beach' shot and not for any other reason but to improve my photo composition skills. I like this shot better because of the tilted angle, the colorful umbrella and that I included more of the scenery. I shot this with my compact while hubby was busy boogy boarding in the waves. Wha? I burn easily and I'm allowed to entertain myself while sitting under the umbrella.

This was shot with my DSLR during another weekend visit to the beach. Something about the lady sitting there by herself , enjoying the view makes me think of peace and tranquility. Sometimes, all someone needs is a beach chair and time away from the normal day to day routine.

This shot has nothing to do with the outdoors, summer or the beach. I just love hearts and wanted to share it with you readers. That's all.

Since it's only June, you can expect more beach shots over the next few months. Hopefully I'll get some of hubby surfing or boogy boarding.That's providing that I don't die for the insane about of humidity that we're currently experiencing. See you next time.
